Paris & Aix-en-Provence

About Paris, France

“I love Paris in the spring time. I love Paris in the fall. I love Paris in the winter when it drizzles. I love Paris in the summer when it sizzles.” Just like Cole Porter, who wrote this famous song, we’re sure you’ll love Paris, too. Why? Because Monograms has handled all the details for you, so you can just enjoy Paris without the stress of deciding what to do, where to stay, and where to go. And it’s not just Paris. We’ve also arranged everything for you in Aix-en-Provence. On this 6-day vacation, we’ve arranged hotel accommodations in Paris and Aix-en-Provence, sightseeing, daily breakfast, transportation between the cities via high-speed TGV train, and transfers from/to your hotels to/from the train stations. Plus, we’ve arranged for the services of a Local Host® in each city, someone who will offer suggestions, answer questions, translate if needed, and help ensure your vacation runs smoothly.

Your vacation begins when you arrive in Paris. At your selected hotel, your Local Host will greet you with a warm welcome and materials to help familiarize you with the city and to create a trip that is personal to you. The next morning, after an included breakfast, we’ll pick you up at your hotel for guided sightseeing with a local expert. You’ll hear the inside stories around the must-see attractions, such as the Opéra and the Arc de Triomphe. We’ll take you to the perfect place to capture a photo of the iconic Eiffel Tower, and we’ll take you to Notre Dame Cathedral, with a history dating back to 1163. We’ll also take you to the Louvre, the world’s most visited museum, to see Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and other masterpieces. But don’t worry; you won’t be on your own. We’ll help you navigate the museum, so you won’t miss the must-see treasures. During your leisure time, you may want to visit the Palace of Versailles, take in a show at the Moulin Rouge, shop at the many designer boutiques, or relax while sipping drinks on the Champs-Elysées.

In Aix-en-Provence, we’ll pick you up at your hotel for guided sightseeing once again with a local expert. You’ll walk around the 17th-century Cours Mirabeau, a lively area with fountains, elegant homes, and famous cafés. You’ll also visit the Cathedral of the Holy Savior, known for its mishmash of architectural styles. During your free time, you may want to take an excursion to Avignon and the ancient Roman aqueduct, take a cooking lesson from a French chef, wander around one of the many markets, or enjoy the healing powers of the thermal baths. This area is famous for lavender products, so be sure to ask your Local Host where you can pick up some.

And don’t forget…we’ve included first-class travel by high-speed TGV train from Paris to Aix-en-Provence. Between the transfers and transportation we’ve included, the sightseeing and guides we’ve arranged, and the hotels we’ve booked, all you have to do is take in the sights and sounds in a relaxing way! Add the comfort of knowing you’ll have a local to assist you throughout your stay, not to mention the stress we’ve saved you by handling all the details, and you’ve got yourself the perfect French vacation! We bet you’ll even start singing “I love Paris in the spring time…”
